Entries from December 2008
It’s been one heck of a year for CAROS! 2008 brought many changes to our “Joint!”
DC and Hettie moved on
“Grill Man” Drew became a partner
The demolition started across the street
Shawnee aka “Sweet Tea Stella” joined the “Crew” when Rite Aid became non-existent
We redecorated the “Joint!”
New equipment soon found a place so we could better serve you
CAROS has a new menu to go along with the new look
And, the best part is…the “Crew” is still talking to each other even though there have been whispers of a divorce!!! lol
We’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our customers for hanging in there while we worked hard to make CAROS the Best Little Joint Downtown!
Wishing you all a very Happy & Safe New Year!
We’ll be closed until Monday, January 5, 2009.
Hope to see you all in 2009!

Who says the “Crew” doesn’t know how to enjoy themselves!!!! We had a great time during our Christmas Eve Santa Breakfast and here are the pictures to prove it!
Mrs. Drew, Karin, started the day out by cooking the bacon…in her jammies and piggy slippers! Hey…it was a breakfast party!
Once the “Crew” finished feeding the customers, it was time to open presents and celebrate!!!
First one to open a gift was Shawnee aka “Miss Sweet Tea Stella!” No, nobody gave her tea bags but she sure did enjoy everything else in her stocking.

Then it was “Bo’Ski” Robin’s turn and we all got a good laugh out of the fact that she wouldn’t share with her hubby, William! “It’s mine!!!!”
And, finally “Grill Man” Drew got his chance to open the gifts in his stocking. Watch out, the man got Duct Tape!!! You just might see some new “decorations” around CAROS. lol
Looks like time for a “Crew” group photo.

Caros Pre Christmas Celebration was just that…a celebration! The food was wonderful, smiles everywhere and loads of holiday cheer.
I just had to share a few of the photos from yesterday’s event.
The first one is of the “Crew” all decked out in their holiday finest. That’s the “Grill Man” Drew as Santa, Shawnee aka “Sweet Tea Stella” as Caros own elf! And, of course we can’t forget “Bo’Ski” Robin as “chet” the reindeer. Now I have to admit that she spent quite a bit of time trying to explain who the heck “Chet” was. He was Tim Allen’s bumbling reindeer in training in “Santa Claus 2!” Believe me, Robin had him down to a tee! lol
It Looks like Santa is still having a problem trying to get “Chet” into the reindeer mode!
Caros own elf, Shawnee, was busy manning the grill while Santa tried to train “Chet!”
Finally, time to eat!!! Wonder who that is hiding behind those hands????
And, who could resist having a good old fashioned belly laugh at our last customer of the day…”Urkel!”
As you can see, a good time was had by all!!!
BTW, one of the CAROS “EEP’s”…that’s Extra Elf Person, left a Santa’s mailbox on the counter. Don’t forget to add your comments, suggestions or just anything you feel like scribbling on the card. Drop it in the box and we’ll let the “Crew” read them after they close on Christmas Eve. It should be good for a laugh or two along with some great ideas for the New Year!
Have a great weekend and the “Crew” will see ya all on Monday.

Those folks got hit with that nasty word…SNOW!!! We just have to deal with the cold and rain/sleet. Not sure what is worse. At least with snow we could have made snowmen in our front yards!
What the heck…make one anyway and get a good head start on the holiday season!
